Visual showing an example of a hands-free use case using wearable technology, this time Google Glass. This use case, perhaps for mobile field service workers who might need to have signs translated on the go so that they can do their job safely and easily. This example shows Google Glass and the Word Lens augmented reality translation solution.
The screen on the right shows what is shown to the wearer of Google Glass sees (it’s shown on my laptop screen). I just picked a Spanish language warning sign at random from the web and translated it in real time.
Google Glass in the enterprise, along with other wearables, are just one of the cool innovations shown at Oracle Applications User Experience partner and customer enablement events. You can read more about one of these events, held in the UK, and find out how to participate in something like this on the Usable Apps blog.
